Angel food
Noodle cookies.
+/- 10 kcal per cookie (recipe makes 12 cookies)

Real life:
The ingredients list talked about 2 egg whites, but the recipe didn't mention them AT ALL,
so I had no idea when and if I should put them in.
Then it said to put the noodles in the food processor until they're 'like a gel',
but they NEVER get like a gel, even after ten whole minutes in the damn thing.
So I thought maybe this was the part where I should add the eggs,
but that just made it slimy, not like a gel.
I decided to just give up trying to make it like a gel and use it as it was
(kinda grainy and slimy), so I added the rest of the ingredients
and put them in the fridge like the recipe said while I started on my dinner.
After dinner I took them out of the fridge and NOTHING had changed.
It was still grainy and slimy.
I put them in the oven at 200ºC (MORE than the 375ºF the recipe said)
and after fifteen minutes (the recipe said 10) they were still pretty much liquid.
Even though I'd made the cookies bigger, they should've been done in this time.
I put them in for another THIRTEEN minutes and they ended up looking like this:
So, they didn't look too bad.
They actually looked like proper cookies
(BTW, I really couldn't make twelve cookies out of this and the recipe said one portion was 2 cookies anyway, so I just made 6 cookies out of them,
with each cookie being 19 kcal (one portion))
I tried to take one cookie off the paper and that's where it REALLY went wrong.
They fell apart immediately.
They were still super-grainy and the taste was HORRIBLE.
It tasted like the noodles (which isn't bad, but not exactly cookie flavor), but chocolatty.
Have you ever had instant noodles and thought
'man, I wish they would make these chocolate-flavored'?
No? Well, that's probably because chocolate flavored noodles are DISGUSTING.
I did end up liking the noodles
(I ate them straight out of the pan while I was preparing them and the
taste wasn't like normal noodles, but it wasn't bad, really),
but the cookies these were SUPPOSED to become? Not my thing.
My opinion on this:
Difficulty:
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
This is not difficult, it's IMPOSSIBLE.
The recipe says to process the food until it's like a gel, but it NEVER becomes like a gel.
The ingredient list says to add 2 egg whites, but the recipe doesn't mention them AT ALL.
The baking time and/or temperature is WAY off.
It is literally impossible to turn this recipe into actual cookies without adding/removing
ingredients and completely changing the preparation.
Taste:
★
Chocolate-flavored noodles.
Seriously.
Portion size:
★ ★ ★ ★
Well, if you can get over the fact that they're actually just noodles,
cut into a thousand tiny pieces, that taste like chocolate, the portion size
(one of those 'cookies' for 19 kcal) actually isn't all that bad.
But excuse me while I find some other recipe to use my slim noodles on.
