Mugcake : 58 kcal
58 kcal per cake/cookie
Recipe:
1 teaspoon self-raising flour
1 1/4 teaspoon cocoa powder
2 teaspoon sweetener
pinch of baking powder
a few drops of vanilla extract
enough water to make a smooth mix
Mix all the ingredients and microwave for 1 minute.
Now I tried the mugcake again, this time with flour, but without the egg.
And as I said when I did the first recipe: the key ingredient in most cakes
(and that includes the ones made in a cup) is flour.
So yeah, it became more of a cookie than a cake.
Still, a 58 kcal chocolate cookie is not bad, right?
IMO one minute in the microwave was a bit too long,
probably because I have a 1000W and the person who wrote the recipe
had a 750W or whatever.
Anyhow, if I make this again, it'll be for 40 seconds or so.
My opinion on this:
Difficulty:
★
Throw it all in a cup and nuke it.
You'd have to try real hard to screw this one up.
Taste:

It tasted somewhere in between a chocolate cookie and a chocolate cake.
But that might be because it was slightly too hard and dry
because it was in the microwave for too long.
If you put it in for 40 seconds or so (1000W) it should just taste like a bite of chocolate cake.

Well, for those 58 kcal it was okay.
Chocolate has a lot of kcal and regular store-bought cookies
(which are never as tasty as home-made goodies) are about 100 kcal a piece
(one triple-chocolate cookie from the McDonalds has up to 300 kcal O.o).
So for a chocolate COOKIE this was a decent size for the kcal.
For a chocolate CAKE though, it was REALLY small.
I finished it in three small bites.
On the pictures of those mug cakes they always show half the cup being full of chocolatty goodness, not just a sad little chocolate orb lying on the bottom of the cup.
