Mac & Cheese Rice:
100 kcal per portion (the whole recipe).
Recipe:
1 wedge of Laughing Cow cheese
1 tablespoon of ICBINB spray
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 bag Miracle Rice
Salt to taste
First, heat up a nonstick pan, or spray in some cooking spray if you need it.
While that's happening, rinse off the Miracle Rice to get the smell off,
drain it well, and add that to the pan.
Stir fry it for a minute or two on high just to heat it up and dry it out a bit.
Next, pour in the ICBINB, and mix.
Throw in the wedge of cheese and just kind of stir it around a bit.
It'll be hard to melt it, so be patient, maybe kind of bury it in the rice for a bit
and mash it up if you need to.
It'll mix eventually, don't worry.
Then add the ketchup, and mix it all up.
Now, I'm not going to lie, I didn't finish this, so I can't tell you how filling it is.
I couldn't stand the taste of this or the consistency.
It was absolutely disgusting.
Maybe I didn't clean the rice enough or something, but either way it tasted like fish covered in cheese that had gone bad.
With ketchup.
I don't think the rice was the entire problem though.
I have seen people post things about miracle noodles/rice tasting/smelling fishy if you don't clean it properly, so that might've been the problem with the fishy taste.
And the consistency is probably just something I need to get used to.
But also, I personally don't think la vache qui rit is a proper replacement for cheese saus, since the taste of it just isn't strong enough.
It'll leave you with dry rice with a slightly cheesy taste, rather than with cheese-covered rice
(like the name 'mac & cheese rice' would make you expect).
I'll show you the pictures, but I'm not going to score this.
The scores just wouldn't be very trustworthy on this one, since I may have under-cleaned the rice (screwing up the taste) and I threw it all away after just a few bites (screwing up the portion size) AND since I may have cooked it wrong, I don't know how difficult it would be to cook it the right way (screwing up the difficulty)
Who knows, maybe I'm just too tired and I screwed up the recipe by accident.
I'm pretty sure I followed it properly, but maybe not.
Accidents happen, right?
My opinion on this:
N/a
