Fruit salad.

1 portion of 350 grams is +/- 200 kcal

(kinda depends on how much you eat, really)

Recipe:

Appels
Bananas
Grapes
Mandarins
Pineapples
Strawberries

Cut them all up into little pieces, mix it up and voila.

One fruit salad to go.

It's not much of a recipe, but I think it deserve a spot on my list if only because it does

require 'cooking' (cutting and mixing).

AND it's just a really handy, low-fat, low-kcal, easy-to-make, healthy lunch or snack.

It doesn't all have to be fine quisine, right?

The less exciting stuff can be good too.

I have these zipper bags that are air-tight, so I'll just put it in there, zip them up and throw them in the fridge/freezer until I need them.

Remember these?

These fit about 115-130 grams of fruit salad, so that's +/- 75 kcal

A wonderful mini-portion for on the road (keeps me from snacking on everything in sight)

So yeah, just a regular old fruit salad like

I'm sure every single one of you has made at least once.

So my opinion on this:

Difficulty:
★ ★

Just try not to cut your fingers too much.

Taste:

★ ★ ★ ★

I personally like this combination best, but you can add mango, melon, orange, peach,...

so the taste wholly depends on what you put into it.

Portion size:

★ ★ ★ ★

That's the beauty of fruit salad.

The portion size depends on how hungry you are.

And it's not like you need to keep the portion size small for calories sake,

because even if you eat a KILO of this stuff it's only +/- 600 kcals.

And that's 2.2 pounds, in case you were wondering.
